Ghost Towns:In 2007 I undertook a trip to Oregon in the US with the aim of visiting some of the Ghost Towns in that state. To me these towns areinteresting, because many of them aren't directly associated to the boom of the 19th Century Gold Rush. Therefore they aren't your stereotypical Ghost Town. To this end the towns in Oregon lived and died for many different reasons, and so show a different side to the what it means to be a Ghost Town. Grass Valley: Shots from a few of the towns in Grass Valley Shaniko: A ghost town that has re-invented itself as a tourist destination. John Day Valley: A selection from a few of the ghost towns in this area Hardman: A town that has gone through several rebirths but is living through its Ghost Town status.
